Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc is one of the first two wines created by Ferrari-Carano 40 years ago. If you’re looking for a white wine with crisp and fruity flavor with bright acidity, this wine should be on your list. 

Many of the Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc vintage wines have received multiple recognitions from famous wine experts. Its 2021 vintage year received a 90-point rating from James Suckling and an 89-point rating from Wine Spectator.

Who Makes Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc?

Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery produce the Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc. It’s led by three talented women namely Sarah Quider, Natalia West, and Rebecka Deike. Their Fumé Blanc comes from the deep and fertile soils of Alexander Valley in Sonoma County. 

In June 2020, wine empire, Bill Foley purchased the Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery to add to their brand portfolios.

Look

For a wine that’s under $15, the bottle looks sophisticated and high quality. On the glass, the wine is a clear medium yellow.

Aroma

The Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc gives off fruity aromas that can entice you to taste it. I can smell some apples, pineapples, mangoes, lemons, and pears. There’s also a hint of minerality in it as well.

Taste

This wine is crisp with lots of tropical fruit flavors. I can definitely taste the pineapple, grapefruit, pear, and a sweet peach. And there’s also a hint of grassiness in it, with some muted minerality in the background. 

Finish

The Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc is a very refreshing white wine with high acidity. It has a crisp freshness to it and a lot of fruit flavors.
